Wisdom Circle
This program focuses on learning how to create the “Wisdom Circle”, a learning environment founded on deep listening. The Wisdom Circle celebrates each individual’s life experience, their unique insight into the mysteries of life and develops the patience to hear another’s world view. It offers a unique opportunity share one’s question and accepts that an answer is awaited; that it can take time.
Dreamcatchers has over 25 years of experience in designing and implementing emotional and social learning based programs with young people. Through the Pedagogy of Life Learning Series, we are bringing together key insights and learnings from our work in an Digital Format, to equip more Practitioners lead transformation based work with young people.
This introductory module focuses on learning to host Wisdom Circles - learning environments where young people can take on the journey of self-exploration and transformation. It is open for everyone wanting to learn using these tools and implement it.
Over our 6-week engagement, you will be able to:
Understand the role and qualities of a listening space for young people
Understand how Wisdom Circles work
Learn how to host Wisdom Circles
Receive access to reflective curriculum to apply in your life
Create a week of content and implement it with young people
Develop a practice of reflecting on your everyday encounters through assignments
